JAM (★031) w Colin Sanderson

I honestly don’t understand the whole mystique that most musicians uphold around their intentions and creation processes. So here is a note in lieu of my transparency, in 2005 or 2006 I started recording as the name “the Pretentious Pretenses”

since then, I’ve released 3 albums and played 2 shows, both of which had different lineups. The most recent record features my good friend Seth on every track with me. I’ve also circulated a dozen or so video clips as promotional materials. Colin, from Manburger Surgical expressed interest in turning my (mostly) recording project into something a bit more stable. This was the first of our collaborations. we’re just experimenting and getting to know one another’s style, looking for some solid footing etc. I aksed him if I could include these jams as part of my innovative “summer of 100 jams” blog on tumblr.
